The Royal Oak Classic Sunday Meet: Kanata Fall Series

Map: Beaverbrook/Kanata Lakes (a new map) Scale 1:10,000.The area is partly suburban neighbourhood, partly community linear and recreational parks and partly natural area, a great mix. One moment you might be sharing the woods with a deer, the next sharing a trail with an NHL hockey player walking his dog.
Start/ Finish Location: Royal Oak Pub, 329 March Road, Kanata. Come early; stay late! Enjoy reconnecting with your orienteering friends at this early season event!

Sunday, Sept 14th Courses: Four courses from Novice to Long Advanced and everything else you would expect at a regular OOC Sunday meet. Registration: 10:00 am to 11:00 am Starts: 10:30 am to 11:30 am Courses Close: 2:30 pm Plus the unprecedented chance for camaraderie and post-race review thanks to the folks at the Royal Oak, Kanata. Important Note: No metal orienteering spikes will be allowed in the pub. They have just installed new flooring in the area we will be using. Prizes: Certificates will be awarded to ALL who successfully complete courses on both Saturday and Sunday. Draw prizes to be awarded courtesy of the Royal Oak Pub. |
Special Note: Sunday Sept 14 is Terry Fox Run Day in Canada. We will have it set up so you can make a voluntary additional contribution to the Cancer Society through the Terry Fox Run.
Pre-registration is not required but PLEASE let us know (by clicking here) if you are coming so enough maps can be printed and the Royal Oak can know how many hungry, thirsty orienteers to expect. Costs will be our standard local meet costs as found here |
