Map: Downtown Canal

This week we have a very special area set aside for training.  The new map we'll be running on covers the Museum of Civilization Canadian Museum of History, the Place du Portage government complex, and the area around the Wellington / Portage Bridge intersection.  The area is a three dimensional maze - perfect for complex sprint orienteering.  The exercise will be a series of sprint intervals.  For competitive types you should run each interval with a mass start - this way the exercise will be excellent practice for the new Sprint Relay format at official IOF events.  Others can run the intervals individually or with others as they choose.

As usual we will start by going over the exercise and then will allow time for a detailed discussion about what you should focus on during the exercise. Those that would rather not participate in the discussion are welcome to go out on course (around 6:40). Those that want to stay for the discussion can expect to start the exercise around 7:00. We will meet at 6:30. The exact meeting place is yet to be determined.
