Meet Director / Controller : Andrew Cornett, Cathy Bakker

The weather forecast for Sunday looks favorable at the moment, with the temperature forecast to warm during the day from -8° in the early morning to reach 0° under cloudy skies with 60% chance of flurries. The trails were freshly groomed yesterday (January 29) and most are rated in “good” condition with a few rated in “fair” condition. I am expecting another round of grooming on Saturday morning + a bit of fresh snow over the weekend. A detailed grooming report and a link to a detailed trail map can be viewed here.

There will be short, medium and long courses to choose from, with the following properties ….

Short – 16 controls – 5.4km (as the crow flies)

Medium - 19 controls – 7.4km

Long – 26 controls – 11.2km

Registration will be open from 10-11 am with starts from 10:15-11:15am. All courses will close at 13:30 to make way for an afternoon Kanata Nordic junior program. Park at 411 Corkstown Rd, just west of NCC parking lot P3, see map here. Look for the red Kanata Nordic banner. Look for ski-o registration inside the heated cabin. Please remember to report to the SI download table inside the cabin after finishing.
