In this time of physical distancing and lack of orienteering the club is planning on hosting a series of online get togethers. Each of these sessions will be led by a different club member and will have a specific topic which will be used to center the discussion. These are intended to be partially informative about the topic and partially an opportunity for everyone to connect with friends they haven't been able to see this spring and chat about orienteering. No matter your level of orienteering experience and knowledge we hope you will join us and get something out of these.

This session will be a discussion about reading the map and seeing the terrain around you and matching the two up. This is a great topic for orienteers of all levels but will be particularly targeted at intermediate level orienteers. The session will be hosted by club president, Jennie Anderson.

Material

The discussion will center around a series of slides show map samples and photos of the terrain.

The slides are available here.
