If you've got this Monday off, then come on out to the Kichi Sibi Winter Trail for our Family Day winter orienteering event! Parking and registration is at Remic Rapids Park 45.410521, -75.744117.

Skate ski, classic ski, fat bike, snowshoe, run, walk, whatever! How you get around the course is completely up to you. We're offering 4 courses on Monday, distances are by shortest route.

  • Short 2.9 km
  • Medium 6.8 km
  • Long 12.7 km
  • Adventure Score-O with a scavenger hunt

The map has been completely redone this winter to the most recent SkiO standard. The snowstorm yesterday has freshened up the trail network nicely and the conditions are great. The registration area has an open patio area with some picnic tables, fire pits, and an outhouse. The NCC bistro might even be open for us to have some hot food and beverages for purchase.

Courses have controls on both sides of the Sir John A Macdonald parkway and Island Park Drive. You are only allowed to cross these roads via the tunnels at Champlain Woods, Champlain Bridge, and Westboro Beach. Do not cross these roads anywhere else! As always please be aware of your surroundings while on course. There are dogs, children, groomers, and various modes of transportation who share the trail with you. When on small trails please move to the side to pass others. Please take care not ruin the classic ski tracks.

Hope to see you out!
