Meet Directors/Controllers:  Andrew Cornett and Cathy Bakker

June 1st, 2015, Meet Director's notes:

Map: The previous detailed map of the NRC campus that was developed for the 2010 COC's has been updated to reflect recent changes and expanded to include new terrain to the NW and NE. The new terrain includes a chunk of nice open woods, other areas with semi-open parkland mixed with patches of denser vegetation, as well as a bit of the adjacent residential neighbourhood. There are numerous trails of various types throughout the area.

Courses: Four point-to-point courses will be offered ranging in distance from 3km to 8km, and ranging in technical challenge from novice to advanced. The maps for this event will be printed at 1:5,000 and 1:7,500 scale. Participants can expect to experience a nice blend sprint-style and middle-distance style orienteering (lots of controls, no really long legs).

Directions: The NRC campus is at 1200 Montreal Rd., near the intersection with Blair Rd. Enter the campus from Montreal Rd. (either eastbound or westbound) and follow the signs to the parking area, which will be on the north side of Montreal Rd. and west of Blair Rd. Note that the portion of the G-E Cartier Pkwy east of the Aviation museum will be closed to cars for "Sunday Bike Days" on Sunday morning.

We are looking forward to seeing you at NRC on Sunday morning!
