Hello Orienteering Ottawa!
Happy New Year to everyone! To welcome in the new year and the new snow, we are planning a ski-O event this weekend, Sunday, January 10, on the Nepean Sportsplex map. Here’s what you need to know:
Date: Sunday, January 10
Time: Registration 9:30 to 10:30; Starts 10:00 to 11:00.
Registration: regular registration process, regular Sunday meet fees.
Courses: Three courses: Short (approx. 3 to 4 km); Middle (approx. 6 to 7 km); Long (approx. 10 to 12 km)
Terrain: mostly flat; reasonable network of trails.
Ski trails: definitely not skating trails; no track setting; some nice skied in tracks; some pretty backwoods-type trails.
Start/Finish: 1 Revol Road (Teutsch house).
Parking: street parking in Merivale Gardens on Revol Road and Arco Way (carpool if you can; fewer cars makes happier neighbours!).
