Ski-O/Snowshoe-O - Kanata Nordic Winter Series

Once again we will be taking part in the Kanata Nordic Snow Day. The Ski-O will have 3
courses and the one course for the Snowshoe-O.
Course setter - Stefan Bergstrom
Cost - No charge for trail fees, no charge for Novice Course. Regular orienteering charges for Snowshoe and 2 longer ski-O courses.
Registration and starts from 10:00 AM - 11:30 courses close at 2:00 PM. Please come early as there will be lots of people for the Snow Day activities.
The Ski-O courses lengths are straight line distance – actual skied distance can be 30% longer depending on routes taken.
Novice 2 km
Intermediate 3.3 km
Long Advanced 6 km
Snowshoe-O is a score-O with 90 minutes time limit.
Map Scale 1:7,500
Lots going on at the Snow Day - micro brewery tastings, bonfire, demo of laser rifle biathlon, free 'rentals' of skis and snowshoes, children's forest and nature school information and children's ski playground.
