P17 Gatineau Park Classic Event Spring Series

This will be a classic event with 4 courses.

We will be orienteering at P17 near Wakefield. Registration will be at the following location

The terrain is your typical Gatineau Park Forest with mixed vegetation (mostly leaf trees with some patches of coniferous trees). The forest is still open and visibility is generally good and the runnability is good.

Map scales for all courses will be 1:10,000

Distances are:

• Novice: 3.3 km, 10 controls
• Intermediate: 3.4 km, 14 controls
• Short Advanced: 5.1 km, 17 controls
• Long Advanced: 8.1 km, 21 controls

There is a water control on all advanced courses.
