Organizer: Jeff Teutsch (Event Director)

Map: Algonquin College

Parking and meeting point: We will meet in Ryan Farm Park off of Parkglen Drive. There is parking along the neighbouring streets or be green and take public transit or bike.

Training: This practice session will focus on directing your focus - when should you be reading ahead, when do you need to focus right ahead of you, when can you look ahead 100, 200+ metres? Courses will be designed specifically for this. This is a skill that applies equally to forest events as urban sprint events but the differences in focus can be more easily brought into sharp contrast in a campus setting like this.

There will be some tips and helpful advice from one of our coaches at the start of the practice and there will be coaches around throughout to give you feedback.

Team Canada and Train to Train program athletes will start with a group warm-up that anyone is welcome to join.

Please e-mail Jeff Teutsch at jeff@ottawaoc.ca by noon on Thursday to reserve a map. We do not guarantee maps for those that don't send an e-mail (though as this is the first practice of the season we will have a few extras printed).
