Map: Bilberry Creek

Meet Director: Luc Frechette | Controller: Eric Kemp

The second of four in our Summer Solstice race series will offer steep forested ravines, extensive nature trails and residential park land. We've updated the map including new paths and vegetation. Some mountain bike trails remain unmapped. Expect to get wet feet as the stream beds are soft. Spend your handicap wisely and keep an eye on your watch!

Schedule

  • Registration: 5:30 - 6:30 PM
  • Mass start: 6:45 PM
  • Finish: 7:45 PM

Location
Parking on Lacroix Avenue. Take the paved path at the NW corner to this soccer field. Please respect the neighbourhood

Event Notes
There are no bathroom facilities at the start. Beware of poison ivy and check for ticks. We recommend washing your shoes and clothing right after the event.

Bilberry Creek flows North through the center of the map. The creek has several bridges and crossing points but gets deep in the North. Two beaver dams make convenient crossing points. However, take care around this area as the beavers have left numerous stakes pointing out of the ground.

New to the Solstice Series?
Read the rules of the race here and calculate your handicap.

Club Awards
Plan to stay a while following the race. The 2021 club awards will be presented at that time. These four awards are presented yearly at our AGM in January. As our 2021 AGM was held virtually this will be an opportunity to congratulate these worthy recipients in person.

Good luck!
