Map: Lac Beauchamp

This weekend we return to Lac Beauchamp, the site of last year’s O-Fest! One half of the map features open forest with a dense trail network while the other half contains more of the same forest but broken up with large clearings containing patches of open rock face as well as a number of wetter, marshier areas. The map overall is quite flat but at 2.5m contours, much of the detail of the terrain is visible.

Location:shown here.

Please note that due to construction on Boulevard Maloney there is no left turning into the park (if using Google Maps for directions it will still have you try!). If you’re approaching the park from the west on Boulevard Maloney you’ll need to drive 1.5km past the park entrance to Boulevard Lorrain which is the first opportunity to turn around. Either that or stay on Highway 50 and exit at Boulevard Lorrain (ie. don’t exit at Boulevard Maloney).

Courses:

This weekend we will be offering 4 courses. There will be water at a control that appears on the intermediate, short advanced and long advanced courses.

  • Novice - 2.2 km, 15 controls, 1:7,500
  • Intermediate - 3.9 km, 15 controls, 1:7,500
  • Short Advanced - 4.7 km, 16 controls, 1:10,000
  • Long Advanced - 7.1 km, 23 controls, 1:10,000
