Notes:
- Nakkertok is a cross country ski centre with a large network of wide trails that are also maintained as hiking trails in the summer. There is also a network of technical single track mountain bike trails shown on the map with a narrow trail line. Some of these trails were cleared of leaves a couple of weeks ago while others have not so they will be harder to see;
- The mountain bike trails also overlap a network of winter snowshoe trails that have yellow and blue triangle trail markers in the forest. Only the snowshoe trails that are also used as mountain bike trails will be on the map. If a snowshoe trail is not used in the summer then they will not show on the map because they are virtually indistinguishable from the rest of the forest other than the occasional trail marker;
- The contours are 5 m with the steeper and rockier sections of the map in the south. Further north the map provides more undulating terrain and less rocky ground. The leaves have also completely fallen off the trees so visibility is excellent which provides some sections of really nice runnability.
- It is hunting season but we have received confirmation that there will be no hunting on any area of the map being used for the orienteering courses. There was one private lot in the north-east that we could not contact the owners for confirmation so the area is marked as out of bounds as a precaution;
