Map: Lac Beauchamp

Mountain-Bike Orienteering (Runners also welcome!)

Meet Director: Tanya Martin; Controller: Mark Gibbard

Registration from 10 am, starts from 10:30 am to 11:30 am.

Bring your bike to Lac Beauchamp and try something fun and a little different! The three courses offered are designed for Bike-O and hence all controls will be located on trails. All bikes must stay on trails that are shown on the map. Runners are welcome to participate in the same courses and they can take advantage of shorter off-trail route choices!

Novice Course: 3.3 km, 11 controls

Intermediate Course: 5.1 km, 14 controls

Advanced Course: 6.7 km, 16 controls

The novice course stays mostly on wide and moderate-easy biking trails. The longer two courses will have some sections that are more challenging for bikers.

The day is forecast to be quite warm, so arrive early in the day and carry water bottles on your bike. For runners, there will be one water control on each course. A warm day could also attract a lot of beach-goers to Lac Beauchamp, so take care on your bikes around the beach with people and traffic.

To give us an indication of how many maps to print, we encourage you to pre-register (onsite entries on-the-day are still welcome).
