Pre-registration is required and costs $15 per session or is $80 for the 8 weeks of fall practices (but pre-registration is still required). In order to guarantee that you get a freshly printed map please register by noon on Thursday. We will do our best to accommodate those that register Thursday afternoon by sharing maps.

All participants must fill out a health declaration on Thursday before the practice.

Parking and meeting point:

We will meet at the corner of Holmwood Ave and O'Conner St. See google maps here. There is parking on the street or you can use the underground Lansdowne parking. Or use public transit or bike :)

Practice details:

This week will be the first Thursday Practice on a sprint map since July so we'll be revisiting some important sprint concepts.

The exercise will consist of a series of 1.5 - 2km orienteering loops. There will be pin flags out for controls. For the intermediate and advanced participants we will discuss sprint techniques and you will pick a different one to work on on each loop. Team Canada athletes should treat this as a cruise/tempo interval session while trying to be as smooth as possible with their navigation.

Train to Train athletes will get additional direction from coach Jeff but will be doing the same basic exercise.

All participants should also bring a compass (we will have a few extras if you don't have one) and, optionally, a control description holder.
