If you're not participating in the Ontario Championship this weekend, we invite you to Wakefield's Vorlage Centre for a unique orienteering experience. You'll be propelled to the summit by chairlift, where the start will be located, to minimize the number of ascents. Despite this, altitude variations will be continuous throughout the route, which is why distances have been somewhat reduced. The owner offers us the lift to the start for $5 per person (free for children aged 12 and under), which you must pay in cash when you register. If you choose not to use the lift, you'll have to hike to the summit over a distance of 850 metres and a vertical gain of 120 metres!

This time we had to negotiate with the new owner of the Centre Vorlage, who has transformed the mountain into a 4-season destination by adding a network of downhill (mainly) mountain bike trails in the northern half of the map - so we had to adapt the routes accordingly to minimize the crossing of our courses with these trails. You'll need to give priority to cyclists and keep a close eye on your surroundings when crossing these trails. It is forbidden to use the MB trails as part of your chosen routes. Of course, the number of cyclists on site will depend on the weather!

Most of the leaves will have fallen by then, which may obscure some narrow trails. Soggy ground could also prove slippery, so be sure to wear good footwear.

If the resort continues to expand its trails in the future, we may no longer be able to use this site. We ask you to respect the site and other users. We will have access to the chalet for the washrooms and the snack bar ($), but we ask you not to leave your personal belongings inside the chalet while running, and not to enter with your cleated or soiled shoes.

The maps have all been printed at 1:7,500 for easy readability. The usual four route levels will be offered:

Novice: 2,5 km, elevation gain 50 m
Intermediate: 3,0 km, elevation gain 65 m
Short advanced: 3,7 km, elevation gain 100 m
Long advanced: 5,9 km, elevation gain 210 m
