Introduction to Orienteering
April 8th 2026 6:30pm - 8:00pm
This 60 minute session will explain what orienteering is all about and provide enough information for you to prepare yourself and comfortably complete your first event. It will include explanations of the colours and symbols on the orienteering map, instructions on using the map and a "map walk". The map walk is led by the coach and will help relate what you see on the map to the terrain around you. Compasses are not required.
We will meet at the north end of the parking lot of Cairine Wilson Secondary School in Orleans.
All interested folks are welcome - any age - no cost. We do ask that you register in advance to ensure we have sufficient instructors and maps. Register here by April 6
